Talc and Health

DO NOT DECLARE TALC AS THE CARCINOGEN BEING KNOWN OR INVESTIGATED

In industrial situations, if the talc powder is improperly being processed, it can produce dust. As in all kinds of dust, the quantity and duration of inhalation specifies the level of the threat to health.

The extensive investigations have showed that the talc exercises no poisonous effect, but so-called "inert" dusty phenomenon. It means that the dust from talc is not harmful more than the usual dust.

We, however, do not encounter it in Gemerska Poloma. The process of talc processing is 100%-closed and it is transported in cisterns.
